San José: Walk at the Rhythm of our capital (approx. 2 hours)

In the city's Central Market, you will observe Costa Ricans doing their daily shopping for tropical fruits, vegetables and herbs, and, why not, chatting with your neighbour over a delicious cup of coffee. Why is Costa Rica a pioneer in the region in terms of peace and ecology? You will get the answers to these questions at the latest at the Plaza de la Democracia.

Arenal Region: Play with Local Children (approx. 2 hours 45 minutes)

When you visit a local school, you will learn everything about the Costa Rican education system. You are invited to take part in very traditional games such as skipping rope, various ball games or quizzes. Afterwards, you will set off together into the local forest, where you will learn more about the local community and its environmental commitment.

Turrialba: Discover the Flavour of Coffee Village (approx. 2 hours)

You have the opportunity to get to know the largest coffee farm in the country, covering 924 hectares. The farm is located near Turrialba and you will learn everything about the production, different types of coffee, drying and packaging of the precious golden grain. You will get to know aromas, different textures and coffee colors, before tasting different types of coffee.

Puerto Viejo: Cook Caribbean Style (approx. 3.5 hours)

On today's tour you will spend time with an Afro-Caribbean family who have lived in this region all their lives and therefore know it like the back of their hand. The meeting will take place in the family's home, where you will cook together with the hostess. You will meet other family members and you will be shown how to prepare a typical Caribbean dish.

Talamanca: Tauchen Sie ein in die Bribri Kultur (ca. 6 Stunden)

Today's tour will visit a Bribri community in the Talamanca mountains, which will introduce you to the indigenous traditions. Later, you will visit a family who will show you how to make handmade chocolate, how to build the traditional roofs and how to use the plants and crops that the Bribri community uses to provide for itself.

Guanacaste: Live the Chorotega culture (approx. 4 hours)

Experience an extraordinary experience as a guest of the Chorotega culture in Guanacaste. Today's tour will give you a closer look at this culture and its traditions, as well as its culinary specialties, which mainly consist of corn. Help with your own hands to prepare the typical 'rosquillas' with cheese or to prepare the typical, homemade bread.

South Pacific: Share with the tribe of the Borucas (approx. 3 hours)

An experience that will bring you into contact with the ancestors of the Borucas ethnic group, a population of 2,560 people living in the South Pacific of Costa Rica. During your visit to this ethnic group, you will learn about the efforts of the Borucas Women's Association in their eco-cultural project: women who want to show the world their traditions.
