Ecuador: Adventure and Nature at Its Best – Sacha Lodge
We recently had the privilege of joining a family trip to Sacha Lodge, an idyllic retreat located in the heart of Ecuador’s Amazon rainforest.
Our journey began with an exciting canoe ride along the majestic Napo River. Surrounded by lush vegetation and the immersive sounds of the rainforest, we arrived at the lodge – a true hidden paradise. During our stay, we explored the Amazon rainforest on various guided walks. Local guides, experts in their field, shared their extensive knowledge of the region’s flora and fauna, turning every excursion into a fascinating lesson in ecology.
One of the highlights of our visit was climbing the lodge’s observation tower. From there, we enjoyed breathtaking panoramic views over the rainforest and had the opportunity to spot an impressive variety of exotic birds in their natural habitat.
Equally remarkable was the hospitality at Sacha Lodge. The cabins, built from local materials, offer exceptional comfort amid nature. The cuisine, prepared with fresh regional ingredients, was a true delight, and the lodge team went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
